Grand Suite - king size bed
Large, serene, and private with stunning sunset views of Mount Washington, the grand suite is our largest bedroom, featuring a king size bed, second story balcony, couch that can convert to a queen size sleeping area, additional seating area, TV, and a walk in closet. We designed this to be the R & R room for deserving relatives (relaxation and romance!) Grandparents and parents can enjoy the luxury of being set apart from the family to indulge in quiet time, read in the cozy swivel chairs, or take in the sounds of nature as loon calls echo from the lake below. The grand suite works as a secondary gathering area, if adults wish to leave the first floor living room to the kids. A mini split keeps the grand suite comfortable with on-demand heating or AC, and the room is furnished with an eclectic mix of decor and art, including a showpiece antique mirror we lovingly refinished.
First floor bedroom - queen size bed
This bedroom off the main living area is easily accessible for anyone with mobility issues, with a queen size platform bed and cotton velvet bedding. Windows look out to the covered porch and backyard views, with blinds that can be closed for privacy. Keeping with our decorating love for pairing old and new, we mixed rustic modern pieces with a mid century modern dresser we restored ourselves. The nature inspired artwork is made by local Maine artists. Unlike a lot of vacation rentals, each of our bedrooms has a closet, so you can stow luggage and enjoy the space without feeling cramped.
First floor bedroom - full size bed
This bedroom has a modern Maine farmhouse flair, with a full size metal bed, colorful pops of color, gauzy white curtains that let the light stream in, and an antique oak dresser we spent weeks restoring. Easily accessible from the main living space, it also has a small closet.
Second floor bedroom - queen size bed
Kick back and drink in the views from this bright and airy retreat. snuggle up on the window seat, or read a book while enjoying sunset views of Mount Washington. This room features a queen size platform bed and large closet, with a full bath close by.
Second floor loft with daybed/trundle
The loft overlooking the living room has a twin size daybed with pullout trundle (twin size) that will sleep two. Younger kids love this as a hangout/lounge area, playing on their devices until they crash. The desk has USB charging ports for phones, gaming devices, or laptops.
